Tim Johnson
Vice President for Innovation and Technology
Tim joined The IDEA Center in 2007 to lead the information technology team and contribute as a member of the executive management team. Tim has a M.S. in electrical engineering from Kansas State University, as well as, 25 years of business and university experience in the management, research, development, and commercialization of software and information technology. With a grown son and daughter, Tim and his wife, Cathy, enjoy their empty nest in Overland Park, Kansas. The Center's mission-driven staff and focus on people impressed Tim enough to join the team and make the weekly drive to Manhattan. Listening to books on tape, reflecting on the tasks at hand, and keeping up with the world via NPR make his commute both productive and enjoyable.
